Online Safety on BrainPOP
How do you spend your time online? Do you think the Internet is safe? These are a couple of questions we will discuss on a Socrative survey before learning about online safety with Cassie and Moby.
After watching the BrainPOP movie with your class, answer the last question of the Socrative survey. Then, you can head to Mindful Mountain on Interland:
Google Drive: Grade 4
Log in to your Google Drive account that you started using last year. Then, create a folder for grade 3 and move any documents from last year inside. Once finished, create a new document labeled “Technology Devices”. Type a list of five technology devices and add a picture underneath. If you need help coming up with a list, watch this video.
Welcome Back Fourth Graders!
I’m looking forward to another great year of helping you use technology with your learning. Once we introduce ourselves, I will review the important rules to remember when using technology. You will participate using the Nearpod app on the iPads. Next week you will log in and follow the directions on a checklist to locate and bookmark the technology blog.

Scratch (Liberfarb)
Begin learning the basics of Scratch by programming a sprite to dance on a stage. You’ll start by creating a profile. Once your profile is complete, click on the Create button at the top of the screen. Then, follow the Getting Started with Scratch Tutorial. Feel free to free explore the other coding blocks if you have extra time. Click on the picture below to get started.
Green Screen by Do Ink
Film your presentation in front of the green screen. Use the Green Screen by Do Ink app on the iPad to combine your video with photos you’ve selected. Below are links to resources you can use for your project.
