Open Microsoft Word for the first time and type a list of the five oceans. The list should be centered with a font size of 16. Then try experimenting with changing the font, text color, and word art. You can also add a picture underneath. Be sure to save your document.

Snowman Exchange

Build a snowman, type a description, and see if a student from another class can re-create your snowman based upon the description you wrote. First, build your snowman using the Virtual Snowman Builder. You can choose any of the parts except for extras. Give your snowman a name and include your own name underneath. Print a copy.

Next, use Stationary Studio to type your description. Use the snowman template under Holidays & Seasons. Have a teacher check, save, then print.

Once finished you will exchange your snowman with a student from another class and see how accurately he/she can re-create it.

Fall Poetry

Let’s head outside with the iPads and take photographs of the fall foliage. Take up to five photos using the Camera app and delete any photos you don’t want in the camera roll. In class you’ll brainstorm ideas and write a poem about the fall. Use the Pic Collage app to add the photos and type the poem. Your finished poetry will be on a bulletin board display outside your classroom.
